Skipinnish

World

Scottish Gaelic Folk band from the Highlands. Founded in 1999 in Glasgow by Angus MacPhail and Andrew Stevenson during their studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) in Glasgow. The Skipinnish brand is also used to market whisky and in running a cèilidh house named the Skipinnish Ceilidh House which has been built in Fort William. There was previously a Skipinnish Ceilidh House in Oban. Large changes in the line-up were announced in November 2025 with Norrie MacIver being told he was leaving before the end of the year. At the same time, drummer Rory Grindlay, guitarist Euan Malloch and keyboardist Alistair Iain Paterson also said they were leaving the band.
