Alternative rock band from Manchester, England, which started out as the dance band Sub Sub. The band comprises twin brothers Jez Williams (guitar, vocals) and Andy Williams (4) (drums, vocals), and Jimi Goodwin (bass, vocals, guitar). Years active: 1998 – 2010 (hiatus), 2018 – present During the band's hiatus, Jimi Goodwin released a solo album, while the Williams brothers regrouped as Black Rivers. They began life as a Haçienda inspired dance band until their studio burned down and they lost all of their equipment, and then reformed as Doves.
