Emerging from Los Angeles' indie-pop scene, Audrey Hobert first gained recognition as a songwriter and creative collaborator before launching a solo recording career in 2025. She is known for her witty lyricism, conversational songwriting style, and blend of pop, alternative pop and singer-songwriter influences. Before releasing her own music, Hobert worked as a television writer, serving on Nickelodeon's The Really Loud House, while simultaneously developing her songwriting career. She became widely known through her close creative partnership with fellow singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams, co-writing multiple tracks for Abrams' 2024 album The Secret of Us, including fan favorites and commercial successes such as "Risk," "I Love You, I'm Sorry," and "That's So True." In 2025, Hobert debuted as a solo artist with the single "Sue Me," followed by additional releases including "Bowling Alley" and "Wet Hair." Her debut studio album, Who's The Clown?, released through RCA Records in August 2025, established her distinctive artistic identity: emotionally candid, humorous, theatrical, and deeply influenced by storytelling and visual media. Hobert also directs many of her own music videos, reflecting her background in screenwriting and filmmaking. Known for combining sharp observational humor with vulnerable songwriting, Hobert has been described as one of pop's most distinctive new voices. Her work often explores relationships, self-awareness, absurdity, and modern adulthood through a lens that balances sincerity and comedy.
