American-born disco singer (January 29, 1956, in Washington D.C, USA). She is most well known for her 1979 disco tracks "Knock On Wood" and "Light My Fire" - covers of songs Eddie Floyd and The Doors respectively. The 1984 recording "Friends" once again propelled her into many international charts. She is the stepsister to Miquel Brown and aunt of Sinitta. Amii has resided in Italy since the mid 1980s and from 2001 has been a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.
