Danish singer/songwriter and guitarist, b. 1956. A folkish rocker or a rocking folksinger, Olsen is mostly seen as a clever poet with a guitar. His critical and sarcastic lyrics is his main attraction, and for that he is seen as one of the major danish songwriters of the 1990's. Though primarily praised by a provincial audience, he got a national breakthrough when he joined forces with Johnny Madsen and Lars Lilholt to form the singing (and boozing) trio Dalton (4).
